Ways you can pray...

Happy November!  Can you believe the holiday season is upon us?!  Here are some ways you can keep our team in your prayers in the following weeks:

Pray for the upcoming sharing events where our team will share our vision and mission for planting in Portland with churches, families, and friends as we hope to gain partners in the work through prayer, financial giving, and future short term mission trips.   If you would like to know more about how you can partner with us in this exciting work, email us at plantinginportland@gmail.com.

Pray for Justin, Chandra, and baby Luke as they travel this week to Portland to meet with local pastors and planters,  as well as complete a formal church planting assessment.  They will also explore the city some and look into housing options.  They will be gone from Friday, November 8th to Tuesday, November 12th.  Pray for the girls as they stay with their grandparents, pray for travel mercies, pray for wellness as everyone has been battling sickness.

Pray for the Dockerys as they are getting closer to traveling to meet and bring Sam HOME!  They are expecting to travel in December to get Sam from Calcutta, then travel to Delhi and be home in a week.  Pray for the end of this process, that Sam would spend Christmas with his forever family!

Pray for Andrew, a college student who graduates from the University of Alabama this spring.  He is praying about joining our launch team and moving to Portland after graduating.

Pray for the Martins as they plan to list their house with a Realtor after they return from Portland.  Pray that God would move the selling of their home along quickly.  You can also start praying for the Dockerys as they will also need to sell their house after Sam comes home.

Pray for Ben as he continues to search for a job in Portland.  The desire is for him to work as close to our target area as possible.

This verse is so encouraging as we seek to honor the Lord with every move that we make in this process:

"The mind of man plans his way, but the LORD directs his steps."
Proverbs 16:9

I'm thankful that we can be confident in the LORD himself guiding our each and every step.  May he be glorified in our lives!

We appreciate your prayer support!
